OVERVIEW

Investing in energy savings for a brighter future

In a shopping centre, great lighting is essential. It needs to be bright, flattering and functional. And it also needs to be cost- and energy-efficient. We recently partnered with Marketown Shopping Centre, Robus Lighting to supply an energy-efficient lighting upgrade with quality LED lightings that really fitted the brief.

Together with Robus Lighting, we planned, designed and organised the delivery of over 500 LED light fittings best suited to capitalise on energy savings and energy rebates.

Not only are the lights unobtrusive, effective and efficient – they’re providing a saving you won’t believe. Thanks to the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, this energy efficient upgrade has an estimated payback of two years and 10 months.

Over five years, the estimated energy and maintenance savings are almost $150,000.

The Energy Savings Scheme began in 2009 as part of the NSW Government’s plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 60% by 2050. The scheme is administered and regulated by IPART (the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal) and provides financial incentives for organisations to invest in energy-saving projects.

We make it easy for corporate clients such as Marketown Shopping Centre to invest in better technology by partnering with specialists such as Fraztec Lighting as our IPART rebate partner who arrange safe recycling of any used lighting. In order to achieve compliance with the Energy Savings scheme, a strict compliance regime is required – so we do all the work behind the scenes to make it easy.
